Welcome to another Pink Saturday! One of the benefits of being a single lady is that I can indulge my love for pink bedding with no one to complain about it being too frou frou! I love this set of dusty pink sheets. They are from Kohls, 300 thread count. Oh they are so soft! And the more I wash them, the more I love them!
I love my bedspread too. I found it in a cute little shop in the Hocking Hills. I had seen it the year before, so I saved up ahead of time to buy the quilt. I was so happy to be carting it home on my trip! There is more to the story, but I'll get to that at the end of this post.
It seems that my feet are always cold. I like having an extra quilt folded at the end of the bed. This is such a soft, nicely worn quilt. Actually, its the bottom of a wedding ring quilt, but the colors clash with my new bedspread so I flipped it over.
Sometimes I just keep my pink knit throw at the end of the bed.
When I make the bed, I put some pretty pink pillows on it too.
When I make the bed properly, this is what it looks like.
Ok, here is the rest of the story on the bedspread. See the matching shams? They did NOT come with the quilt, and I was having a heck of a time finding shams that looked right. I will tell you that I spent around $80 on the quilt. I thought it was a boutique quality quilt. Buyer beware!

One day I was visiting the local Big Lots store, and much to my amazement, there on the shelf was the bedding set: quilt and shams. And for only $25 total! Say what?!?! I was so mad! However, since I would have spent at least that much alone on shams that went with my bedding, I went back a couple days later and bought the set. I figure if this quilt wears out, then I have a brand new spare, or I can double them up on cold winter nights. That is, if I can't get one of those Misters to keep me warm like I described in my previous post on 7 qualities I'm looking for in a man!
If I do find one, do you think he would be bothered by the pink bedding and pink sheets? Nah, I'm going to be wearing one of those pretty pink nighties from a previous post and wearing pretty pink nail polish. I'll be kissing him with my pink lips and he isn't even going to notice. No siree!
Here's to pretty pink dreams!

Lovely! And no, I'm sure that the Mr. Right will not mind at all with you decked out in all your splendid "pinkness"!!
Buffie : )
Kady! You crack me up girl! You have such a fun spirit. I can't wait for you to find Mr. Right, and don't settle for anything less. Well you could overlook a few flaws but nothing major. Just pray and I'm sure those pretty pink lips will be giving good morning kisses soon. Love your pink sheets and pillows. And you may not have been taken on the quilt you know Big Lots is a close out store. You just didn't go there first. Have a wonderful weekend and stay out of trouble, we don't want you hear you've caused another disturbance in the neighborhood.LOL!!!! No more blue for pink Saturday! Deb
Happy Pink Saturday, Kady.
The bed looks so pretty and so comfy. Any good man worth his salts won't have a problem with pink. ;-)
Kady,
I just love your pretty pink bedding. Being a single gal myself, I always go for the pink and/or floral bedding too. Always makes me feel like I am sleeping in a "bed of roses".
Happy Pink Saturday!

Lovely bedding, and when you meet Mr. Right I'm sure that he wont mind.
Happy Pink Saturday!

I love your bedding. So cozy. My bff has a purple bedroom...all girly and lace. About a million pillows on the bed...so PRETTY. First question everyone asks when they see it? "Your husband sleeps in here?"
And, yes, he does. But, she has to move all the pillows for him first.
Happy Pink Saturday!

I love your beautiful pink bedding. And take heart... my husband (we only got married in our 40s) is completely happy with the pink bedding I picked for our own bed. We even have a pink bedroom door! :-) Stacey
I love your pink bedding. My man doesn't care how frou frou I have things in the house as long as I'm happy. I think a lot of men like girlie girls!!!
Hugs, Terrie
The bedding is just beautiful, especially the pillows. Have a great new week.
Love your pink bedding - and it looks so perfect.
Is it wicked of me to think of how much fun it would be to jump up and down on it, though?
You get to do that whenever you want to - I envy you!
have a great week!
You are too funny!
I don't think he'd notice or care either! He's out there somewhere, just waiting for you and your pink self!
Shhhhhh.....don't tell anyone but I am married and have pink sheets. LOL...I don't think he even notices. Happy Belated Pink Saturday. ~ Lynn
Hi Kady, classes all day Sat, so it's pink Sat on a Sunday! youre such a sweet soul, someone will come along and share Bonnie Lane with you and love it as much as you do!
Love your pink bedding and love your outlook on everything!!!!...Donna
Hey Kady!
I love the and quilt and other pink bedding....I know that you were disappointed at having paid alot for just the quilt, but it sounds like you ended up with a great deal anyway.....at least you have two of the quilts now that you love, so when one wears out, you'll have the other one....what a deal on the quilt and shams at Big Lots....That's a great store to check in on. I've even seen Waverly drapes in there before....but I think they go quick...they never seem to have enough for my 3 living room windows. LOL! I wish we had a Big Lots in our town, I'd check in weekly for sure. Hope you have a great day!
xoxo,
Queenie
That's very pretty, especially with that touch of green! Thanks for visiting my blog!
Love your pink bedding~ that really sucks about the price of the original!! But I'm glad you found the second set, very lucky.
I'm so bad when I go shopping, I never want to pay full retail price for anything. If I see something I like, I write down the name and check eBay and the net first!
THere's a set that I loved at Kohl's for over $300. It's been at least a year, but I'm just now seeing thing on ebay for like $80! But alas, they're full or king and I need queen...good things come to those who wait, right!?
