In these times of turmoil, the Serenity Prayer seems ever more appropriate.
I found this picture at a thrift shop for just $7. I keep it in my "throne room." I loved the pink roses! It fit in perfectly with my half bath downstairs with the horrid pink wallpaper.
Many of my clients go to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, so this prayer has special meaning to me. I also keep this prayer in my office, but on a totally different kind of picture!
I think this is a good prayer to think of during election time too. We cannot control the outcome of the election, but we can get out there and vote. It really can make a difference!

That's such a beautiful picture and shouldn't we all have that prayer somewhere in sight in our homes.I know I should.
Hugs,
Chris

Wonderful to have that prayer framed and where you can be reminded of it. And such a pretty setting, too.

Very lovely. :o)
A perfect prayer for any time, but so very appropriate now.
Thanks for sharing, Kady. Happy Pink Saturday.
Kady...thanks for the lovely posting...haven't seen that prayer actually framed like that...very pretty! Happy Saturday...what's left of it. Hope your Sunday is relaxing. Susan
That has always been one of my favorite prayers. What a great Pink Sat. share!
Yes, we all need to vote. It is our obligation to BE INFORMED and VOTE accordingly. Long lines will be an issue this year, because so many folks are finally interested in being a part of the voting process. Our news tonight suggested bringing a chair to use while in line. I am more concerned about the restroom facilties---and will be lose our place in line if we need to bolt for a potty break? I am wishing I would have sent in for an absentee ballot now! :)
Anyway, Happy Pink Sat. and God Bless Us!! Dana
Lovely pink post. Happy belated Pink Saturday.
Seems like this prayer is so easy to pray but so hard to carry out sometimes. We all seem to try to take control of things we have no control of really. I say it frequently even though not an AA person, it has special meaning.
Hi Kady...SUch a pretty picture and you KNOW roses are my fav!!!
