Blue Monday/Blue Present!

On Thursday this week, I had my women's group do the craft project that I had told you about. I let them decorate cards with stickers and stamps, and they had so much fun with it! We discussed self esteem, and when they were finishing their cards, I had them pass the cards around to the other ladies so that they could write a compliment or words of encouragement to each other. It went over really well!

I did something similar in the men's group and had them write their names at the top of a plain sheet of paper, then pass it around. One guy even said it almost made him feel like crying! Well, the ladies told me that I had to make a card too, and they wrote such sweet things to me! I can't show you that or their cards because of confidentiality, but I can show you the front of my card.

The little butterfly didn't show up very well. Here it is up closer.

This was such a fun project!

At lunch that day, the other employees bought pizza and brought in 7-layer salad, a sugar free lemon chiffon pie, and a pumpkin roll (not sugar free, but very yummy)!

Friday was my last day at work, and boy, was it hard! I didn't have any clients that day, but I still had a ton of work to do. When I got to my office, I was so surprised to see this sitting on my desk!

I must say, I was moved to tears!

So what does all of this have to do with Blue Monday? Look at the pretty candle I was given by a co-worker! It smells so good and its going to go in my bathroom.

There was even more food and cards from co-workers that last day. Let's just say I was tearful through some of the day! I will miss my work, my client's and my co-workers so much! This has been my favorite job ever!

hi Kady, How are you holding up? I know it's going to take a few days to get over the shock of not going to work but just put one foot in front of the other. You have so much to offer the world, I know you will find somewhere where you can contribute and hopefully do something that you will enjoy.
Hugs, Bridget

Aw, they all love you! I'm so glad the cards went over well with the ladies. And it was so thoughtful of your coworkers to have a little party for you. I know they're going to miss you twice as much as you'll miss them!
