Bev at How Sweet the Sound hosts a weekly Pink Saturday. This is my first week! I had planned to post pictures of my favorite pink shoes and purses, but the pictures turned out horrible. Instead, I am posting pictures of beautiful pink flowers from my garden. Many of these are reposts, but to those who are visiting this blog for the first time through Pink Saturday, these will be brand new. Please visit Bev's blog for a list of those participating in Pink Saturday.
I have four gardens in my yard, and they were lovingly planted by the previous owner.
The first two are roses from the garden at the back of my house. I just moved here last year, and was stunned at all the beautiful flowers that came up in my garden! I had the second picture made into a mousepad for work. It gets all kinds of compliments.
This is a daylily that I photographed on a visit to Ravenwood Castle in the Hocking Hills of Ohio. Click here to read my posting about our visit to the castle.
This picture is of a quince bush in the garden between my driveway and my garage.
Here is a beautiful, intensely dark pink peony growing near my deck.
And here are two more that were growing in the garden at the end of my driveway.
Here are my roses again, but these are from this summer.
And finally, here is a trumpet vine that bloomed a couple weeks ago on my deck.
Hope you enjoyed the beautiful pink blooms!
Welcome to Pink Saturday, Kady. I'm sorry the pictures you planned didn't work out, but all of these pink blooms are glorious.

Hi Kady! It's your first Pink Saturday, too! Well, that's wonderful! I love all your beautiful flowers - outstanding roses! Oh well, I have never grown up and I think blogging is helping keep the 'child' in me alive! Only if Mr. Precious were a millionare! Woo Hoo! I know, I am silly, but the idea of Chloe Dawn walking daintily around in pink slippers just made me laugh at myself.
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful Pink Saturday and be a Pink Sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh how pretty! I have never met a pink rose I didn't fall madly in love with. Yours are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI must confess ... I have TRUMPET VINE ENVY!! That color knocks me over! Do you know what its name? Please, oh please drop me a note if you do. If not, does anyone else that passes by this way happen to know the name of this lovely? Please drop me a line and share the name. [I sense a quest ... Once my pink tours conclude I shall tie the standard of this fabulous shrub upon my arm and set out into the WWWeb in search of it. I shall return victorious ... I hope so, anyway.]
Thanks for the lovely visit. : )
