Pink Saturday #5 - Pink Nightgowns

Welcome to my latest installment of Pink Saturday! This weekly event is hosted by Bev at How Sweet the Sound. Please go to her blog to see a list of all the other ladies posting all sorts of pretty and pink things!

My contribution this week is pink nightgowns! I first started wearing pretty silky nightgowns when I was around 19 years old, and I have never gone back to old shirts, anything flannel or regular pajamas. Not only are nightgowns comfortable, they look so feminine and pretty! And face it, I know that we love flannel nighties because they're warm and soft, but if you were a man, wouldn't you love to have a beautiful nightgown on your mate? Besides, not sure how to put this gently, but I think it helps the kitty breathe. ;)

This is my favorite nightgown and I found it in K-Mart on clearance for only $7 last year!
I love the pretty pink roses.
I haven't even worn this next one yet. It's actually a slip that I ordered from Lane Bryant, but I plan to use it as a nighty. I love the lace hem, though actually it's made to snip to fit the length of your dress.

Here is a really elegant gown I bought a few years ago. It also has a matching robe. It's just right for romantic nights! I love the black lace bodice and the slit in the front. Woohoo!

Now if I only had someone to wear these for! *sigh* I haven't given up yet!

I have received some awards, and I'm so sorry that I haven't got them posted yet, but will in the next couple days!

Here's hoping your Saturday is spent in the pink!

  1. Kady, I like pink nighties too. I realized that almost all of my sleepwear is some shade of pink! I like the one with the black lace. The first one is more like what I wear though. The pretty ones are only worn on vacations usually.

  2. Ooh, I love the one from Lane Bryant! So pretty! But ahem... you are the first person that's ever suggested a nightgown could help the kitty breathe! It's not like we wrap it around us like a diaper, so what difference does the material make? My grandmother always told me that you shouldn't wear undies to bed so the "parsley" could breathe, but I've never followed that there rule!

  8. Hi Kady, I love your pink gowns, I have plenty nice ones just hanging in the closet. I have a few old beat up ones that I wear to bed. Terrible huh? I guess I could wear them for my husband but, if I need to come out of my room and run into my daughter I would think she thought that something was up! LOL!!! I really don't want her to have that thought. I'm I crazy!!! Probably so! Anyhoo, about the fashion show sure you can model something you have, and at home. Deb

  11. Kady, I love your night gowns. They are so pretty. I wear them in the summer, but the winter requires more. The kitty can't breathe in the winter. Smile. Love your sense of humor.

Hey, you know I just thought of a funny thought, I wonder if your neighbors were watching you out of their windows while you were taking pictures of your gowns?! I always wonder what people are thinking when they pass by and see me taking some pics for my blog! LOL! I ain't right! By the way I love the clothesline, I want one! Have a great day sweetie!
