Pink Saturday/ A Pink Prize!

My last post was my 100th post. As I am unable to do a giveaway right now, I borrowed an idea from a blogging friend, and have decided that you can ask me any question you would like, which I will answer in a later post. Can't think of anything? Oh come on, what wouldn't you want to ask a single, divorced mom of three who is about to turn 50 and has a busy career? lol

Welcome to the latest edition of Pink Saturday! I recently won yet another giveaway! This was hosted by Sherry at Edie Marie's Attic who decided to give away 7 beautiful teacups with saucers! This was a contest that I really wanted to win! I was really hoping to win a teacup that was both pink and floral...and I did!

I received my package on Wednesday. I am like a little kid on Christmas morning, and I couldn't wait to open the package! There on top was the sweetest card. Isn't it pretty in pink and brown?

Ooooo, on to the pretty teacup and saucer!

Here is a look from above so you can see the beautiful pattern.

There was more in the package though!

Sherry also included some teabags in several delicious flavors, and a snack!

In keeping with the pink theme, here is a teabag with pink letters. I guess I will find out soon if it makes pink tea!

Of course, you need a teaspoon to stir with, and perhaps even a butter knife for toast and jam with your tea! I love how she tied it up with a pretty ribbon.

So what do you get when you add all this together? Why, a tea party of course!

It's a tea party even if its just me and even if I take tea at my nightstand. I just love all my new gifts!

I know that I've won several giveaways since I joined blogland, but what people don't know is how much they mean to me. My parents are both gone, my brothers and I aren't very tight knit, my friends have limited budgets, and my children have had some employment issues, so it's sad to say that no one ever gives me gifts. Last Christmas I received the first gifts that I'd had in years. I can't remember when I last got a birthday present. I'm not complaining, because I really have all that I need and I get such pleasure from giving to my children, but I really do feel lonely and forgotten on those days. That being said, you can't imagine how wonderful it feels to receive such a lovely gift in the mail, even if its because my name was pulled from a hat!

Thanks again, Sherry! I love it all!
