Pink Saturday/ Pink Handcrafted Things!

Where does the time go? Hard to believe it is Pink Saturday again already!

This week I'm sharing some handmade items with pink in the patterns. The first is a heart shaped box that I found at a thrift shop for about $3 a few years back. I have this same fabric, but in a different color and I had used that fabric for curtains in my old bathroom, so I got this box to sit on my bathroom counter. It fit in very well with my pink walls and green accents.

I love the little fabric roses, though they have become squished over the years.
This next is a journal that my dear friend Sandy made. She hosted a table at a church women's luncheon a few months ago. Oh, how I wish I had taken my camera that day! At this event, women sponsor a table and decorate it with a theme. They serve with their own dishes, they provide the beverage and also the dessert. Everyone is then served the same luncheon. There is no end to the creativity! The tables were just wonderful, and the table that Sandy hostessed was a pink roses theme! She had porcelain plates and teacups with dainty roses, pink paper plates and silverware, and even a very pretty patterned dessert paper plate! It would have been my favorite table even if I weren't sitting there! Each hostess had a gift for those who sat at their table.
The fabric was in keeping with the theme of the event. She sewed all the pages into the journal, and even attached a ribbon as a bookmark. There is a flyer of the event!
She even decorated a pen for each of our journals to match the theme! Isn't this the cutest?
It was such a fun event! I hope she invites me again next year! I was able to see old friends and hear some music for entertainment. Sometimes there is even a speaker!

I love homemade items better than just about anything else! Even better if there are pink flowers on them!
