She is also the author of a book called "French by Heart," a story of her years spent in France. Anyhow, being brave and intrepid, Rebecca has invited us to share anything that we find "wonderful, whether weird, wacky, beautiful or breathtaking, heartwarming or hilarious." We were even allowed to venture into the realm of "bitter or twisted" if we woke up with our panties in a knot. First I am going to post some things in the outside world that I found wondrous, before moving on to something that truly made me wonder...something found in my own house. It may fall under under the category of twisted, weird, and hilarious.Edited to add: None of these pictures are mine until you reach the one of the crazy boy with the gun. I borrowed them all from Google Images!
Here are some wonders I have actually beheld: the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France! It really is breathtaking when you first see it! It's even more beautiful at night, and if you can view the City of Lights at nighttime from high on the tower, it is truly a stunning and memorable sight. I was able to do this in 1999.
While in Paris, I also got to go to the Louvre and see the Mona Lisa. It's actually not a very big painting at all, but it was so cool to see something that is so well known!
Back a little closer to home at the Toledo Zoo in Ohio, I actually got to see the great pandas! This was really a treat! That was about 20 years ago.
When I was a teenage, I got to see this horticultural wonder in Tombstone, Arizona: the world's largest rosebush.
On South Bass Island (Put-in-Bay) in Lake Erie, there is a crystal cave, actually like a large geode. It's really pretty cool.
I consider oceans to be pretty breathtaking too. I have been lucky enough to see both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. I'm simply drawn to their beauty and can't get enough.
Then there are some wonders that I haven't actually got to see, but would like to some day. Here is the Grand Canyon in all its majesty.
And how I would love to travel to Japan to see Mount Fiji! I really wish I could just see Japan, but more like it was in the old days. But no, this was not a bat. This was something far more sinister and unexpected.
Ok, after that I feel the urge to show you something pretty, more in the true nature of my blog. Here is a pretty hibiscus.
...as better as I am going to feel with an incontinent dog and two rowdy boys!

I love that chair, and it was needed after the ceiling story! I have 3 sons to..and one time one of them wrapped cat poo in a box and gave it to me as a christmas gift. YUCK!
Well! I would be very thankful that it was poop and not a bat! At least the poop can't attack! But seriously I have to admit that poop on my ceiling would have killed me, I have popcorn ceilings and the thought of having to dig poop out of it would have just killed me. Great outside wonders! Bad inside wonder! LOL!!!!!!!!
I think you deserve a spa day.
lol. Oh, my goodness, Kady, you're halarious today! Dog poop on the ceiling. I'll bet you're the only one's whose ever had that happen! Well, your sons and poppy little dog are precious anyway.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh my goodness I'm still laughing at this one...just sooo funny! Who's ever heard of poop on the ceiling...but leave it to kids to get it there...and then not clean it up!!
ummmmmmm.....I think I'd have chosen the BAT!
Boys, dogs, poop...things like this happen in my house too! I have some really terrible stories too, but don't want to relive them, much too scary!
Hopefully the poop did not leave a serious stain on the ceiling, but if it did, it would be fun to point it out on house tours!!! :)
XO,
Donna Lynn

I was stopping by to thank you for visiting my blog and to marvel at the thought of being about to camp out in a gypsy wagon. But when I started reading your poop post, I was so distracted that it took a minute for me to remember where I was. I just kept thinking about falling poop! There used to be a time that I would take my lunch hour and go eat in the park but I stopped. I was sitting on a bench, eating my lunch and minding my own business when I felt something warm land on my head. A pigeon passed overhead and left droppings!!! It was disgusting. That ended lunch in the park.
LOLOLOL,,,,,,,, too funny! I love your post! Love the chair too! I ihave been some pretty neat places also! Have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by! XO Diana Lyn
Travel is WONDERFUL. I'm a big fan of the Pacific too:) Thanks for stopping by my blog. LOVE your photos BTW. Gorgeous. Have a great weekend!
Oh Kady! I remember the days of my 2 boys and the "I don't know who did it"! Isn't amazing what goes on when we're gone? You are a brave girl to post this but you have made lots of mom's feel so normal now, having had their own mysterious happenings while they're gone! LOL LOL LOL too funny!
Great chair makeover!
Hugs, Sherry
That dog poop on the ceiling is classic! Haha what are the odds of it ending up on the ceiling! I absolutely love the chair in your last picture. Ahhh, so relaxing!
Hi Kady!! Hope all is well in your world and you have no more dog poop anywhere except outside!! Thanks for popping in to see me and for liking my fallness! I think my new sofa looks like fall. But it'll have to look like winter, spring and summer, too! lol
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
When I visited the Grand Canyon I had some very tiny little ones with me so I was a LITTLE nervous on my trip. Where are the fences, please? It was beautiful though...not like the poop LOL. Wendy
