Tablescape Thursday/Red & White Christmas tablescape

Just because its after Christmas doesn't mean I HAVE to put away my Christmas stuff! I love Christmas decorations and would leave them out until spring if my relatives wouldn't threaten to put me away. Anyhow, here is my second Christmas tablescape. If you missed the first one, please check it out here. It is very similar to this post, but with a few basics changed up.

For this tablescape, I used a red and white checked snowflake tablecloth that I bought at Goodwill for only $2. I kept the two tiered server, silver candlesticks, lace curtains,"snow" and lights, and the Gibson plates.

Instead of white, blue, and silver bulbs, I used red.

I found some darling Christmas dinner plates, salad plates, teacups and candlesticks at Goodwill also. I didn't spend any more than $10 total for the dinnerware and tablecloth! Since we were seating six for dinner, and I only had 4 each of the Christmas plates, I alternated each setting. The placemats, which are actually rimmed in green, not black like it appears, were a dollar each from the Dollar Tree.

I used the same server, but this time with read and white bulbs and Lindt Lindor truffles in a red wrapping (the blue were better!).

This cute handled server held an apple crisp cheeseball from Tastefully Simple, and it was delicious served with cinnamon graham crackers and Teddy Grahms!

These Christmas candlesticks were a perfect fit with my dinnerware.

I reused the silver candlesticks in this tablescape, and they are just as pretty!

Isn't it fun to create a whole new tablescape by changing just a few things? It keeps me creative and keeps cost low.

Well, it is snowing here in northwest Ohio with several inches predicted before tomorrow morning. Maybe we'll finally have more snow than Texas! Mother Nature can be such a moody broad.

Hi Cady! My favorite photo is the beautiful truffle snapshot. I still have three Christmas Trees up - my son from MN is coming next Friday for a week of skiing. He hasn't seen one of my decorated trees for many years. They stay up until he leaves! take care .........

Kady, I shared one last Christmas post today for TT myself. Just isn't enough time during the season to get it all done. I was too busy with other things to get many posts up. I'm glad you shared this table. I love seeing Christmas inspired settings anytime. Your plates are darling, but I really love those placemats. I want to find some plaid chargers. Well, I found some, but they were more than my budget allowed. LOL
Thanks for sharing. And by the way, no snow in central TX, just cold and windy! ~ Sarah

ooh, it's very pretty! i still have most of my decorations up still. i put away all the "santa & Christmas" decorations but left up all the "winter & snowman" decorations. However I do still have the tree up, decorated and presents still underneath, lol. I like to leave the tree up for awhile. I think it makes the living room so pretty :)

I was thrilled to hear you love to leave your Christmas decor up for a long time too! It is still going strong here! Haven't even thought of a date when I might take it down. Love your Christmas tablescape! I can't believe you found those lovely plates with the trees on them at Goodwill! I like the lights in your centerpiece too - and you can't go wrong with Lindt chocolates!
